Cherubino Chardonnay 2017

"Hand-picked at night, whole bunch-pressed direct to new and used French oak for a long, cool, wild yeast fermentation, matured on lees for 8 months. A complex, powerful wine that captures attention from the first whiff of its funky personality, with grapefruit zest and pith leading the way into the layered palate. The elements of reduction are the product of the protective vinification, and will ensure its calm evolution of style through the coming years." 96 Points, James Halliday, The Wine Companion 2017 (on the 2016 vintage).
