The Domaines de la Pigeade story began in the early 1960s, when Nicole and Claude Vaute settled on their family property.

Both coming from farming families, they were nevertheless the first generation of wine growers. Having decided to settle in the very young Muscat de Beaumes de Venise appellation, they continued to develop and extend the Estate, while leaving the winemaking to the village cooperative. Building on their expert work of cultivation and land consolidation, their son Thierry and his wife Marina settled on a superb 10 hectare property (mainly planted with Muscat). They decided to build their own cellar in which the first vintage was released in 1996.

Located in the heart of Provence and the Rhône valley, the Domaine straddles four prestigious appellations: Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, Beaumes de Venise rouge, Vacqueyras and Ventoux. In a magnificent green setting, their 16th century building now houses their winemaking and aging cellars.

At the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, a few kilometers from Mont Ventoux and the Luberon, their geographical position allows them to benefit from an exceptional microclimate, enabling them to produce their best wines.
