De Bortoli
De Bortoli Prosecco Piccolo 200ml case of 24 bottles
King Valley
$131.00
Min. Quantity: 1
The King Valley is Australia’s natural home for Prosecco. De Bortoli and many of the grape growing families from the region, originated from Northern Italy where the Prosecco grape is indigenous. Across the globe, Prosecco has taken the world by storm. The style is gentle and easy, making these the ideal summer or outdoor sparklers. The colour is pale with green hues. The palate is fruit-driven with hints of green apple, wisteria, lemon, apple and pear. There is a gentle creaminess, complete with the very fine bubbles or 'beads'. Perfect on their own or mixed with an aperitif and soda water for a lively and refreshing spritz. The De Bortoli Prosecco is sold in a case of 24 200ml bottles or piccolos. Ideal for picnics, trips to the beach or bush walks.
Expert Reviews & Awards
"De Bortoli’s King Valley Prosecco is both a frequent crowd favourite and a critical darling, with more than a fair share of medals to its name. It pours light-toned and green in the glass, and smells and tastes like pears and lychees, with hints of vanilla and jasmine. A jolt of lemon pith and almost pineapple-like tang ups the refreshment factor substantially.
The 200ml ‘piccolo’ packaging comes in especially handy if what you seek is a quick glass or two on a quiet night in, or a couple of spritzes without sacrificing a bottle. Big things do, in fact, come in small packages."

"Soft and easy drinking with lifted lychee-like aromas and peach fizz flavours."

Winemaking Notes
The grapes were harvested in the cool of night to achieve a balance of fruit freshness and acidity. The wine was then pressed and racked to stainless vats for fermentation. The wine was blended and the underwent a secondary fermentation to create the final bubbles, creaminess and texture. The wine was then transferred under pressure, complete with bubbles, into bottles.
Cellaring Notes
Drink within 3 years of release.
