The Barossa Zone includes the Barossa Valley wine region and the Eden Valley Wine Region. The Barossa Valley region is one Australia’s leading regions for fine wine production, especially  Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. It is located one hour’s drive, north of Adelaide, in South Australia. The climate is warm and dry, which is perfect for old bush vines to produce outstanding and full bodied red wines. These wines have an abundance of  ripe black fruit aromas and flavours. The most notable white variety is Semillon but the Barossa Valley region also produces beautiful white wines such as Chardonnay and Riesling. The Eden Valley is located 80km north of Adelaide, bordering with the Barossa Valley in the west and the Adelaide Hills wine region in the south. The Eden Valley region sits within the Barossa zone and is known for producing exceptional Riesling wines. High quality Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay are also produced in this region. The Eden Valley has a cool, continental climate.
