Little Giant Barossa Shiraz

Little Giant Barossa Shiraz 2017

This is a full-bodied yet totally soft and supple Shiraz. The oak is nicely woven through the wine without being too dominant and overall, this a very, very good Shiraz. Lots of ripe, berry fruit. Incredible value.

Little Giant Barossa Shiraz 2017

Region - Barossa Valley & Eden Valley, AUSTRALIA.

Variety - Shiraz.

Style/palette - Full Bodied.

Cellaring - Drink now or until 2021.

Winemaking -  Little Giant Shiraz was crafted from fruit sourced from select premium vineyards of both the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Picked in the cool of the morning to retain freshness, the fruit was de-stemmed and fermented in stainless steel tank. The wine then spent nine months in used large format French and American oak barrels to build structure whilst softening the palate and develop flavour complexity without overt extraction of oak characters.

""Hard to go wrong, and you certainly wonʼt here. This is an amazingly good buying/drinking option. So dark, so supple, so polished. Boom, as the wannabe cool kids say. Violet, clove, plum and sweet spice. The bounce of boysenberry. Sweet fruit galore. Itʼs not overly dark in colour terms but it tastes like ink, if that makes sense. It feels good in the mouth but it also feels ready to explode. When people ask me What’s a good Shiraz? This is now my recommendation." 92 Points, Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front.
