Robert Oatley Signature Series GSM

Robert Oatley Signature Series GSM 2016

The Daily Drop Panel has always been a collective fan of the GSM style, particularly when it is made so beautifully by Robert Oatley Vineyards. Bob Oatley released the first 'GSM' in Australia in the 1990's and although it was not the first blend of these three varieties, it was the first time that the wine was identified as a 'GSM'. Emulating the famous Cotes du Rhone blends, the wine quickly gained a cult following and became widely recognised in the Australian wine industry. The 2015 Signature Series GSM is no exception to the heritage of this style and makes for a thoroughly impressive drink! Highly recommended.

"Awash with dense sweet spicy fruit, some raspberry confection, musk and eucalypt mingling with cedary oak and warm earth notes. Fuller bodied, concentrated with slightly raspy tannins." 92 Points, James Halliday, The Wine Companion 2017.

"This is a really attractive GSM, with bright red juicy fruits that sweep you along to a fresh and lively finish. A touch of earth adds a sense of place." 94 POINTS, James Halliday, The Wine Companion 2016 (on the 2015 Vintage)
