The Adelaide Hills wine region is located twenty five kilometres east of Adelaide. The region is known internationally  for producing high quality, cooler climate wine styles such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sparkling wine and Shiraz. Many of the vineyards are planted at over 350 metres above sea level with altitude being a major factor behind this region’s premium reputation. The wines from this region are also well structured and ideal for sparkling winemaking, due to their naturally high acidity.
