The Loire Valley is a large and diverse wine region, located in western France, along the River Loire. Known for producing white wines with refreshing acidity such as such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc as well as red wines such Cabernet Franc. There are four sub regions in the Loire Valley, they are Nantais, Anjou Saumur, Touraine and Central Vineyards.
