Tumbarumba lies in the western foothills of the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales and is known for exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The vineyards are planted at high altitudes, ranging from 300 to 800 metres above sea level. Tumbarumba produces cool climate Chardonnay that has a higher acidity and shows flavours of peach and citrus. Pinot Noir is the other important grape in Tumbarumba,  and it is often used for making high quality sparkling wines.
