The new 'Plus & Minus' range offers a great alternative to wine. The range was developed to be richer in antioxidants, such as resveratrol, minus the alcohol, for consumers who are looking for a zero alcohol wine that still has the aromas and flavours of their usual wine. How is it made? Using groundbreaking technology, the alcohol is removed from the wine, via an ultra-fine membrane filter, ensuring a gentler process, that helps to retain the wine’s vibrancy and flavours. The wine is also made without the use of any artificial sweeteners at all, so the finish is dry and refreshing. In addition, the winemakers add grape skin extract (GSE) during the winemaking process. GSE is rich in naturally occurring antioxidants, delivering more of the benefits that can already be found in red wine but without the alcohol. What does it taste like? The Plus & Minus Chardonnay is bursting with classic Chardonnay fruit aromas of stone fruit, melon and crisp apple with a hint of nutty integrated oak. The palate shows bright fruit flavours along with a finish that combines citrus fruit with clean acidity. Is it a substitute for wine?
