Min. Quantity: 1
Rossi and Riccardo's Pinot Grigio was grown in Veneto, in Northeastern Italy where some of the world's best Pinot Grigio is grown. This wine is bursting with aromas of pear, apple blossom, white nectarine and soft herbs. The palate follows the theme, but along a line of cool restraint and with an added layer of gravelly minerality. Succulent acidity provides a long, fresh finish. Beautiful with light pasta dishes, risotto, zucchini flowers or grilled chicken salads.
Producer
Rossi and Riccardo
The Rossi and Riccardo label showcases a selection of Italy’s great grapes at very affordable prices. The wines are sourced directly from artisan producers across Italy. These producers are small growers and makers, who have forged strong bonds with R&R over the years. All wine is sourced directly from the producers without any agents or middlemen and the wines are made under the same level of care and rigour that their producers afford their own wines. In addition, the wine is shipped in refrigerated containers and is stored in Rossi and Riccardo's dedicated climate-controlled warehouse.

About Pinot Grigio/Gris
Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are made from the same grapes, the difference in the way these wines are named, usually indicates the style, or the country that the wine is made in. Pinot Gris/Grigio grapes develop a distinctive pinkish grey colour on their skins when they ripen. 'Gris' is the French word for grey while 'grigio' means grey in Italian. Some of the world's best Pinot Grigio wines are made in north-eastern Italy, at the foothills of the spectacular Italian Alps. The Alps border the wine regions of Alto Adige, Trentino and Friuli Venezia Giulia. These regions are known for producing high quality Pinot Grigio that is usually dry, light to medium bodied and has a high acidity. This style of Pinot Grigio often shows aromas and flavours of citrus and green fruits. In contrast to Pinot Grigio from Northern Italy, Pinot Gris from Alsace, in Northern France is more full -bodied, rich and textural. The flavour intensity of these wines is also quite pronounced, showing aromas and flavours of dried fruits and honey, at times. High quality Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris is made in Australia, mostly in the cooler regions such as the Adelaide Hills, King Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Orange, the Yarra Valley and Tasmania.

About Veneto
Veneto is one of the largest wine regions in Italy, known for fresh whites such as Pinot Grigio and Soave, high quality Prosecco and fruity reds such as Valpolicella. Veneto spans a large area, from southern end of Lake Garda, extending east towards Venice and north towards the foothills in the Alps. The climate is warm, with cooling influences coming from the higher altitude parts of the region. Breezes from Lake Garda also keep the vineyards cool which helps the grapes to retain their acidity.
