This classic Barolo from Casali del Barone displays an intense red garnet color along with a rich and full bouquet. The palate shows flavours of plum, red fruit and hints of jam, along with aromas of eucalyptus, tobacco, and leather. Balsamic flavours and a slight toastiness from oak ageing weave across the wine, offering a truly beautiful red wine experience. Barolo is delicious with beef or pork ragu or a mushroom risotto. Barolo also has layers of delicate flavours that make it perfect to have with parmesan cheese or Grana Padana. The taste of Italy! Barolo is made from Nebbiolo grapes and it is known for having very deep and intense flavours, due to the extended ageing process. Barolo DOCG wines (DOCG stands for Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin) aged for a minimum of 38 months, including 18 months in oak before being released.
