Louis Jadot Chateau des Jacques Beaujolais
$34.00
Min. Quantity: 1
Louis Jadot's Beaujolais Villages is bright, fruity and fresh in it's youth. This wine can also be kept for a few years. Made from 100% Gamay, Beaujolais is known for being easy to drink due to it's fruity bouquet and soft, approachable tannins. Serve it chilled with chicken terrine, black olive tapenade, smoked salmon or grilled tuna. Beaujolais also pairs well with richer dishes such as Moulin a Vent and roasted chicken.
Winemaking Notes
Made from a blend of different wines that were each vinified and matured in stainless steel vats in order to preserve fruit and freshness. The wines were then combined before preparation for bottling.

About Gamay & Pinotage
Gamay is a grape variety that is used to make light bodied, fruity, food friendly, red wines. Gamay is grown all over the world but it features prominently in France, where it is used to make the famous Beaujolais wines. Gamay wines, such as Beaujolais, are soft, delicious and very approachable. They have appealing aromas of cherry, raspberry, pear and violets. Beaujolais are often made for early drinking. Some of the higher classifications of Beaujolais, that made from particular villages or appellations (crus), have more structure and are more suitable for ageing. In Australia, Gamay grows well in cooler regions such as the Yarra Valley and Southern Tasmania.
